Videos Of Canadian Model Railways
Filmed At The 2010 Model Train Show
in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada

The first video is compiled from footage shot of three Canadian model railways: the host club Lindsay & District's HO layout, the modular NTrak Ottawa layout and the layout of Soper Valley Rail Lines.

This is the first time I've attended the Lindsay show which is on the northeastern side of Toronto, a good two hour drive from where I live. Four of us from the Nottawasaga Model Railroad Club (NMRC) made a day of it. The show is held in the Armoury downtown. It was a very busy show.

This second video starts with the S-scale Workshop. I had seen this modular layout several years ago in Holland Centre and took some photos and video at that time. If you know Morse code you might like to translate the train orders being played at the station. One of our NMRC club members, John Carruthers, worked for CN. He had fun listening to the key chattering away. The video clip also shows a sector plate in use. There's a plate for turning trains at each end of the layout.

This video includes a short section of tinplate 0-27 Canadian-powered trains. I believe this is Gargraves 3-rail track. I could be wrong. I don't think it is Lionel track.

The final section features the modular layout belonging to the Ganaraska Club in Port Hope, Ontario, east of Toronto. I hope you enjoy these videos. I regret that I didn't take any still photographs because the scenery work was very good.
