Train Songs For
Railroad Enthusiasts

The other day I was looking for train songs that I could play in the background when visitors came to see my layout. I have some CDs I can put on an old music system I installed beneath the layout. I can play a thunderstorm or various sound effects for atmosphere.

Sometimes it's fun to play train songs while working on my layout or when friends and operators drop by. I started to compile a list of train songs I could load onto my iPod from my own collection of records or from iTunes downloads.

I have a turntable that gives me the ability to record LP tracks as MP4 or wav tracks. I started this list of train songs for my own amusement, but thought others might be interested.

If you have other songs I haven't thought of, please send me an email via my Contact page and I'll add them to the list.
